TOP NEWS : Josh Hamilton was back in the lineup for the Rangers Tuesday night after coming of the 15-day DL. Hamilton was 1-5 with a homer and two RBI. 


AL : Kevin Youkilis missed his seventh consecutive game Tuesday night...Bad news for BJ Ryan owners: according to Blue Jays GM J.P. Ricciardi, Ryan will not immediately take over the closer role when he returns from the DL...Derek Jeter was out of the lineup Tuesday night with a sore oblique.  This "sore oblique" thing is more contagious than the swine flu...Carlos Quentin was out of the lineup on Tuesday with a sore heel.  According to the Miami Herald, Quentin will be out of the lineup today as well...Hideki Matsui had to leave the game Tuesday night with tightness in his right hamstring...Roy Halladay won his league leading seventh game Tuesday night as he pitched a one-run complete game against the Yankees...Adam Jones, whom many had as their break-out player for 2009, homered twice and drove in four runs.  Jones now has three homers and six RBI this week and eight homers and 25 RBI this season...Royals General Manager Dayton Moore announced Tuesday that Joakim Soria has no structural damage in his shoulder...Kevin Slowey is now 5-1 on the season after giving up one earned run over six innings...Since coming off the DL, Joe Mauer has been rock solid for the Twins.  Mauer, who homered Tuesday, is now 18-36 (.500) with four homers and 12 RBI...Michael Young, now batting .344 on the season, went 3-3 against the Mariners...Coco Crisp went 3-3 against the A's, hitting his third homer and stealing his ninth base of the season...So much for a ALL the HYPE of Luke Hochevar.  Tuesday night Hochevar was pounded for eight runs in two innings, sorry for the bad news Patrick...Trevor Cahill improved to 2-2 on the season after giving up two solo homers over six innings... 

NL : After missing five straight games, Derrek Lee was back in the lineup for the Cubs. Lee went 0-3 with three strikeouts and a walk..Diamondbacks placed outfielder Conor Jackson on the 15-day DL  with an undisclosed illness...Prince Fielder was 3-4 with a pair of two-run homers and now has seven homers and 29 RBI on the season...Ryan Ludwick had to leave Tuesday's game with a hamstring injury...And the story of Lastings Milledge continues. Milledge had to undergo surgery on his broken finger Tuesday and is expected to miss six to eight weeks. Wasn't Milledge a "can't miss" prospect just a few years ago?... Carlos Zambrano, nursing a hamstring injury, will begin a minor-league rehab assignment this weekend at Single-A...Todd Wellemeyer was rocked for seven earned runs on nine hits over 4 1/3 innings...Orlando Hudson, now batting .343, went 3-4 with an RBI...Brad Hawpe had a tremendous Tuesday night going 4-4 with a homer and five RBI...Ubaldo Jimenez won his third game of the season after giving up only one run...Emilio Bonifacio was 2-4 with two runs and a stolen base Tuesday. It was his first multi-hit game since May 4 and his first stolen base since April 28...After missing Monday's game, Chipper Jones went 2-4 against the Mets...Mike Gonzalez blew a save opportunity against the Mets Tuesday night...Brian McCann, now 9-for-20 with a homer since returning from the DL, went 3-4 with an RBI...

Missed this yesterday Big Pappi. But I understand man, the whole kid thing probably had you pretty busy. Great to see this back. Between this and Lenny's podcast, you get everything you need from the night before.

Thanks for putting in all the hard work even with a new born sitting in your lap. LOL smilies/cheesy.gif
