NFL TOUCHDOWN

Apologies for the misleading title. The Cleveland Browns are not a very good NFL team and all the weekly power rankings will reflect that. Some significant offensive changes do make them interesting for fantasy purposes, however, and two Browns players are on the most added list. The Titans and Raiders disappointed again on Sunday, owners are reacting by dropping members of those teams several times over.
AddedJerome Harrison: Preseason sleeper James Davis is on injured reserve. Jamal Lewis is both hurt and ineffective. For now, Harrison has as little competition for carries as any running back. His next challenge is to prove he can withstand punishment throughout the season. He already set career highs in rushes and receptions. If he does not wear down Cleveland's opponents in the last seven weeks include Detroit, San Diego, Kansas City, and Oakland. Drop for him: Correll Buckhalter, Leon Washington, Derrick Ward Don't drop for him: Ray Rice, Fred Jackson, Cedric Benson Mohamed Massaquoi: "In sync" is not a great way of describing the Cleveland offense, but Derek Anderson to Massaquoi is as good a connection as the team has shown. His 13 targets was the second most among wide receivers. He could be useful for depth, but likely will not produce as a starter should every week. Drop for him: Chris Henry, Deion Branch, Kevin Curtis Don't drop for him: Nate Washington, Earl Bennett, Steve Breaston Tashard Choice: He is the healthiest of the Dallas running backs, but Marion Barber was still more effective. Choice's average per rush of 3.7 yards is the lowest among the Cowboys' runners. He provides some help in the passing game, in the last two weeks he has nine receptions for over nine yards per catch. Next week's matchup at Kansas City is a good one for Choice, and unless Barber is completely healthy he should get plenty of carries. Drop for him: Jonathan Stewart, LenDale White, Jamal Lewis Don't drop for him: Ahmad Bradshaw, Donald Brown, LeSean McCoy Heath Miller: He is tied for sixth among all players with 24 receptions. At this pace he will blow away his career high of 48 catches set just last year. Ben Roethlisberger has attempted 30 or more passes in 11 of Pittsburgh's past 12 regular season games, the exception being Week 17 of 2008. While the balls are spread around, Miller is getting enough to warrant a starting spot most weeks. Drop for him: Kellen Winslow, Dustin Keller, Zach Miller Don't drop for him: Brent Celek, Vernon Davis, Chris Cooley Dropped Justin Gage: His Week 1 production (7 rec., 78 yards, TD) was solid, but in the last three games he has seven catches for 79 yards and no scores. Meanwhile, Kenny Britt and Nate Washington are trending upwards. A quarterback change, which is possible when the backup was the third overall pick, would likely hurt the value of all Titans receivers. Gage could still have some standout games, but it is much more difficult to count on start-worthy numbers from him. Drop him for: Antonio Bryant, Mark Clayton, Ted Ginn Jr. Don't drop him for: Eddie Royal, Chris Chambers, Lance Moore Darren McFadden: You would have thought he had enough talent to succeed in spite of Oakland. He has more fumbles lost than touchdowns and will be sidelined for up to a month following knee surgery. He was an unlikely start against the Giants, Eagles, and Jets anyway, but owners that drafted him as a second running back are surely hurting. Even with the injury, he should not last on the waiver wire in many leagues.Drop him for: Ricky Williams, Rashard Mendenhall, Tim Hightower Don't drop him for: Larry Johnson, Fred Taylor, Felix Jones Tennessee Defense: They are 22nd in yards allowed per game and 26th in points allowed. In fantasy scoring they are 27th with nine sacks, six turnovers, and no touchdowns. Some think a coordinator change is in order, but little will prevent the Colts and Patriots from having field days the next two weeks. In most leagues a defense not worth playing is not worth owning. Drop it for: Dallas, San Francisco, Buffalo Don't drop it for: Seattle, Tampa Bay, Houston Matt Hasselbeck: If owners can afford to bench him until he is healthy, that is not a bad situation. Seattle has capable receivers, an inconsistent running game, and plenty of opponents that are soft on the pass late in the schedule. The latest updates suggest he may suit up Sunday. He would be coming back to a juicy matchup, no team has allowed more passing yards per game than Jacksonville. Drop him for: Carson Palmer, Joe Flacco, Brett Favre Don't drop him for: Matt Cassel, Trent Edwards, Kyle Orton
